Since 2009, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce has been dedicated to helping immigrant entrepreneurs succeed in their new businesses and ventures. The goal is to connect new Canadians with the community and provide them with the resources needed to get their business started.
With programs aimed specifically at new Canadians, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce invested in fostering the growth of our community.
The Fredericton Immigrant Business Service Centre Programs BIMP and HIVE work in close collaboration with the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, the Province of New Brunswick, City of Fredericton, Ignite Fredericton, Planet Hatch, the University of New Brunswick and all major economic development partners within our region. Our services are in place to ensure new Canadians have all the tools they need to settle and become successful in business in their new country.
Succession Connect, our newest program, matches new Canadians with business owners who are planning on selling their business. Recognizing that immigration is a key component to New Brunswick’s economic success, Succession Connect serves both current owners nearing retirement or otherwise trying to sell their business as well as new Canadian investors seeking to purchase turnkey operations. Facilitating these connections within the region will enable businesses to continue, preserving jobs and the related economic impact on our community.
The goal of Succession Connect is to support and retain more new Canadian investors in New Brunswick by providing a convenient and confidential avenue for current business owners to sell their companies. We are pleased to be part of culturally diversifying the province’s population while improving our demographics and ensuring the continuation of New Brunswick-based businesses.
